Tips and Tricks
A great way to stay on Track during your Regular gaming session is to keep a journal or notebook with you at every session. A lot can happen during a D&D session that can feel like a mess trying to remember all the details. Did Joe keep the magic sword you got from the tomb? Or was it Susan? And what happened to your health? Especially in times when your group can’t meet up as often as you’d all like, keeping notes can help refresh your brain and keep you up to date with your campaign. Your DM will love you for it!
What does a new player need?
Here are a few ideas.
The player’s handbook is a key start to any player's descent into D&D. Depending on which edition your DM chooses, the player's handbook starts you off with some races, classes, spells, backgrounds, and everything you need to start a character for your first day. Having this on hand can really help you learn the game much easier.

Remember those Stats? Well keeping track of them is made easier with character sheets. They come in all different shapes and sizes. Some come in journals, but these sheets allow you to calculate your stats and keep track of your character as you progress through the campaign.
